Are We Really Safer? No!

Recently the TSA put in place much more intrusive ‘security’ measures. these new measures prompted mass outrage among many flyers. Many people feel that these new procedures violate the fourth Amendment to the constitution which prohibits unreasonable search and seizure. Proponents say that if intrusive security is what it takes to make us safe then they are willing to put up with being groped. Lets take some advice from one of my favorite Founding Fathers

“He who would give up freedom for temporary security deserves neither and shall lose both.” — Benjamin Franklin

Now we all want to feel safe when we get on a plane, but the raw fact is that groping grandma is not keeping us safe and neither is taking essentially nude pictures of innocent americans. A high ranking Israeli security official has said that he could easily get more than enough explosive past a body scanner or a pat down to blow up a 777. So why wont these new procedures work? And what can we do that will. Read the rest of this entry »

God Bless America

The phrase “God Bless America” is almost an icon in our society. Its used freely, without much thought or care. Presidents have used it as well as the People. It is like saying “this is the last thing I’m supposed to end my speech with” or “I’ve run out of words and this will be a good ending”, while saying “God Bless America” isn’t wrong at all, I feel frustrated that its used by those who do not understand what it means… Read the rest of this entry »

Media Bias. Still Not Sure?

Christine O’Donnell purchased 30 minutes of air time on local Delaware television for a documentary style campaign ad. it was to air at 10am and 3pm Nov.1 and Nov.2. However it did not air on Nov. 1. When asked about te incident the station clam “They forgot to play the ad.” O’donnell was more than a little skeptical of this pathetic excuse.

I am not aware if the ad aired on election day. this only proves the fact that there is indeed bias in the mainstream media.

“We forgot to play the ad.” Give me a break you a professional TV station you don’t just forget to air a program. Oh and one more there has been practically no coverage of this in the national media. The same national media who so eagerly covered the allegations the O’Donnell was a witch and that she had an affair.

Fight the Good Fight!

As a young politically active woman, political apathy is something that is very disconcerting to me.

I’ve been involved in New York grassroots political activism for two years now. And it is GRUNT work. It’s not easy putting yourself out there hours at end, walking door to door to people’s houses, declaring to the world what your political beliefs are and then bracing for whatever may come your way. I’ve encountered some supporters …some opponents (die hard New York Democrats who would rather sell their soul then vote outside of party line) and of course, I’ve come in contact with those who are completely disgusted and frustrated with politics regardless of party. I think anyone who has volunteered at any campaign know exactly what I’m talking about. Read the rest of this entry »

The Nanny State: Absorbing Your Rights!

“Let me get this straight. The government can’t efficiently run the post office, the school system, or the DMV. It can’t police our border’s properly, it failed to prevent the S&L crisis, 9/11, the dot com bubble, the housing collapse and the credit crisis, its IRS created a fully incomprehensible 78,000 page tax code, and its Congress writes bills so long that no one has time to read them, but I should still trust it to make personal decisions for me against my will? I think I’ll pass…”

Just a “little” Constitutional Mistake

Earlier today, Obama spoke at the USC rally in support of incumbent democratic candidate Barbara Boxer. Amidst a cheering enthusiastic group of college students, Obama addressed issues in his usual Pep rally type rhetorical. The President again showed his opposition towards limited government and traditional, Judeo-Christian values. Read the rest of this entry »

Backwards Alliances

In the field of foreign policy, our nation seems to have their priorities a little backwards. Through studying United States foreign policy, themes of respect for those who act in aggression toward us and the people of their nation prevail.  Countries like China, Iran, and Russia are perfect examples of this. These countries, throughout their history, all have a prevailing theme of dictatorship and tyranny. Read the rest of this entry »

State Question 756 (Oklahoma)

“This measure adds a new section of law to the State Constitution. It adds Section 37 to Article 2. It defines “health care system”. It prohibits making a person participate in a health care system. It prohibits making an employer participate in a health care system. It prohibits a health care provider provide treatment in a health care system. BIND AMERICA TO HER CONSTITUTION!

“The question before the human race is, whether the God of nature shall govern the world by His own laws…” – John Adams

Exodus 18:20-23 establishes a democracy under law. Israel’s first government was a republic, established by Moses honoring his father-in-law and God the Father.

“Neither the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.” – Samuel Adams Read the rest of this entry »
